    Friends Only

EDIT: Maddeningly, Photobucket now automatically resizes everything I put into it until any text is unreadable. The caption says "*unless you post a nice comment about why you'd like to friend me". It's 'humour'.

    Obscure Hotties #37
I won't be around for a while - my house is being rewired to make it a little less potentially explosive after an apparently startlingly shit job building an extension a few years back left the building's wiring in a parlous state. So I'm going away to stay with my grandparents for a bit. Here, anyway, is an obscure hottie.

It's been a while, hasn't it? By way of an apology, here's a veteran favourite O.H. who now, happily, seems to be getting less and less obscure by the day.

I've been mostly busy fulfilling my duties as the last of the great English essayists and letter-writers today, but I've still got time to toss you an Obscure Hottie. Erm, in a manner of speaking.

Carrie Fleming is a Canadian actress who has appeared in the TV shows The Dead Zone, The Chris Isaak Show, Smallville, The 4400 and The L Word. Her film roles include mostly bit parts in movies like Happy Gilmore, Edison and the remake of Get Carter, as well as the lead role in Dario Argento's Jenifer.

Unfortunately, I can't find many linkable photos of her online, so you may wish to go to http://www.carrieannefleming.com and click on "Photos" or "Fans & Friends". It's worth it!

    Shocks and Scandals and Such
Terribly exciting stuff at work recently. In the tremendously unlikely event that anyone who might know someone I'm about to talk about is reading this journal, I won't name names. Instead, I'll refer to them by the actor who I think should play them in a Hollywood movie about their life.

So our receptionist, Scarlett Johanssen, was engaged to a terribly boring man who she nevertheless talked about as if he was the most wonderful man in the world, and we all thought "fair enough". But after that, it turned out that she'd actually gone away to York for a drunken dirty weekend with my fellow caseworker, Dennis Hopper.

Now, Dennis Hopper comes to us on a scheme where prisoners who are close to being rehabilitated are allowed out to do voluntary work. Had said prison known that Dennis Hopper was drunk, they would have been unhappy. Had they known that he now had a hard drive full of naked photos of Scarlett Johanssen on his work computer, they would have been even less happy.

In the end, what did for Dennis Hopper was the arrival of a new caseworker - none other than Scarlett Johanssen's aunt, Kathy Bates. Now, Kathy Bates is hardly someone who minces her words, and seeing as she'd just spent a couple of weeks comforting a distraught Scarlett Johanssen over her drunken stupidity she wasn't minded to give Dennis Hopper the benefit of the doubt on this issue. When she found the naked pictures on the PC, however, she made it very plain that she was considering grabbing his balls and twisting until they came off. And that was the last we saw of Dennis Hopper.

I don't think our supervisor, Shane MacGowan, ever knew about this.
